In the classical Vedic texts, the mind is described as having the capacity for both minuteness (anutva) and oneness (ekatva). It is with great awe that Erika approaches the study of Ayurveda, which connects something as minute and visceral as the digestive system with the elemental composition and cycles of nature, unifying the physical body with the subtler planes of mind and spirit. With graduate degrees in topics ranging from philosophy and semiotics (M.A. Univ. of Chicago ‘05) to curriculum and instruction (M.Ed. DePaul ‘08) combined with her study and teaching of various yogic and healing traditions (E-RYT 500, AHC), Erika couples her knowledge with healthy doses of humor and humility to help translate ancient Ayurvedic wisdom for students and clients in a way that makes the information easily digestible and appetizing to the modern palate. Schedule an appointment with her today to begin tuning in to the subtle ways your body communicates and make simple changes to your diet and lifestyle that will bring you back to balance.
