Satvavajaya

These sessions allow for a compassionate client-centered dialogue where healing caused by physical or emotional pain is acknowledged through a series of questions. Through the student’s own realizations, mind/body techniques, and yoga and Ayurvedic philosophy, long-lasting transformation is possible. Some practitioners will use pranic (life force) healing methods in these sessions to facilitate the balancing of subtle pranic energies.

Gross body techniques may include poses, restorative poses, or practices for the mind and subtle body such as pranayama, meditation, and mantra.

An Ayurvedic clinician who is also a certified yoga teacher will guide you through a variety of gentle and restorative yoga poses using props (like blankets, bolsters, and blocks) to support each pose. Relaxing totally without effort, your nervous system can experience the parasympathetic state of relaxation and digestion. These calming and quieting sessions are for all levels and can help mitigate a vata imbalance (that shows up through a variety of symptoms including dryness of skin, hair, ears, lips, joints; bloating, gas, constipation, dehydration, weight loss; or restlessness/dizziness).
